We attended the Online Innovation Days 2024 organized by VIR in Berlin. Our very own Vincent Usbeck moderated the blockchain panel with Andreas Wulfes from team neusta Unternehmensgruppe, Tom Dillon from A3M Global Monitoring GmbH, and Helge Moser from ISO-Gruppe, all representing validators of Camino Network.

Our CTO Pablo attended the 2024 Web in Travel event in Dubai. He gave a keynote on the next steps in the evolution of the Camino Network, after having built the Camino blockchain and the Camino Messenger.
We had exciting 3 days at ITB Berlin as we mark our second year as a traveltech startup. Our highlight: Presenting the powerful distribution tool Camino Messenger to the global travel industry.
In cooperation with FTI GROUP, Verband Internet Reisevertrieb e.V. (VIR) and ISO-Gruppe, we organized a weekend hackathon in Munich that brought together 40 participants from 20 travel & tech companies. All teams were introduced to the tech stacks of Camino Network and Polygon ID, who joined as technology partners. In just 2 days, each team presented compelling solutions to the judges.
Pablo, Juan and Sam attended FITUR Madrid, one of the largest travel trade shows in Europe. The trio engaged in productive discussions with prominent companies, building connections and partnerships that promise to reshape the landscape of the travel industry. The Chain4Travel team's visit to Fitur helped bridge the gap between modern technology and traditional travel practices on a global scale.
Anke had engaging discussions about the challenges of data sharing in travel, and the promise of blockchain-based self-sovereign identity. It's not just a vision, it's already a reality in Aruba. At Chain4Travel, we're closely monitoring various SSI solutions to ensure interoperability, especially with the rapidly approaching EU eID regulations.
Pablo Castillo attended this year's A World for Travel event in Seville as a speaker. It is the 1st international event dedicated to the sustainable transformation and development of travel and tourism activities. What an amazing time we had in Lisbon, forging new connections with Airlines and tech providers. 3 takeaways from Anke's presentation "Future-Proof Direct Distribution": (1) Today's direct distribution is on the verge of transformation towards tomorrow's web3 network distribution. (2) Minimized costs and reduced time-to-market through connecting to the network. (3) Camino Network bridges web2 to web3 and fosters the approach: "Connect once, connect to all."
At the FVW Congress in Valencia, Anke reflected on the convergence of AI and blockchain. She used the Camino Network builder Sleap.io as a perfect example of the new possibilities that web3 technologies bring to travel.
We heard lots of interesting talks about the opportunities of blockchain and gained insights on: MiCA regulation, navigating crypto asset regulation in the EU, the importance of improved user experience for mass adoption, the opportunities for NFTs to reimagine loyalty systems. The highlight, however, was Ralf Usbeck on stage with Sophia Rödiger & Harry Behrens from bloXmove and Jonathan K. from peaq discussing decentralized mobility.
Daniel shared his insights on blockchain technology and the Camino Network at the Knowledge Days of the German National Tourist Board. He talked about dispelling crypto myths that are no longer true, and also presented a concept of a local ecosystem managed by a local tourism council and powered by blockchain technology. Great opportunities for destinations to engage with blockchain.
One of our highlights at Phocuswright Europe was hosting the Travel Tech Night in partnership with Phocuswright. The setting was perfect for networking and discussing the promising new business models web3 & Camino Network are bringing to the travel industry.
HEDNA has become the leading voice in advancing the use of technology in the hospitality industry. We had a great time meeting industry leaders, technology providers, and hoteliers from around the world. Our CTO Pablo even took the stage and held an inspiring keynote speech.

Looking back at this week, the Travolution.com European Summit was the definite highlight. Many tech topics were discussed - from top tech trends, the Green gap, and AI to the blockchain-powered Web3. Watching the panel pulling apart our predictions for the future was fun! Also, I introduced the Camino Network web3 travel ecosystem we are building with many travel companies worldwide.
We were excited to visit UK's #1 blockchain event, the meeting place for the world's top crypto companies and blockchain entrepreneurs: Blockchain Economy London Summit 2023. It was the perfect opportunity to explore the potential of web3, NFTs, cryptocurrencies, blockchain, and much more.

Token2049 in London was impressive. Over 3,000 attendees from the global crypto industry met entrepreneurs, investors, developers, industry insiders, and global media-and we were there, too, as the only layer one for the travel industry. We look forward to next year's event.
Since 1980, World Travel Market has been an established international institution on the travel trade show landscape, attended by travel professionals from around the world. It was an honor to join the panel on the travel technology stage and discuss the topic of blockchain with other industry experts.
A key question of the Fvw I TravelTalk convention was how new technologies, such as blockchain, are emerging and shaping new ways of working in the industry. Under the motto “Fast Forward”, we visited this year’s Phocuswright Event in Amsterdam. True to this motto, we have seen inspiring keynotes, innovative use cases and were able to make new connections within the travel industry. Consensus is much more than just another crypto festival. CoinDesk brought together roughly 17,000 crypto enthusiasts and experts discussing the regulatory landscape, web3 and the future of digital assets.
